FATAL SHOCK

WAITRESS ELECTROCUTED

(P.A.) TAURANGA, February 15,

A probationary waitress, Miss Ngaire Mclntosh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Mclntosh, of Cambridge Road, Tauranga, was electrocuted at the Hotel St. Annes, Cameron Road, shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday. She was cleaning the bedrooms, and on finding one locked, tried to get in through a window. It appears that a reading lamp was in her way, and on grasping it by the metal stand she was electrocuted. Medical assistance was called, and a doctor, with two men of the St. John Ambulance Association, applied artificial respiration for about two hours, without success.
