WOMEN FOR WORK

WANTED IN WELLINGTON

Applications from young women willing to come to Wellington to take up work of urgent national importance are now being sought elsewhere. According to the district man-power officer in Christchurch a large number of women between the ages of 21 and 35 years will be required in Wellington at an early date for such work.

The nature of the work, it is stated, does not call for any particular skill or previous experience, but it is necessary that applicants should be fit and of average physique. It was considered tliat up to £4 6s a week could be earned by the young women.
