AIR ATTACKS
R.A.F. IN BURMA
(Rec. 1 p.m.) RUGBY", January 29. A Delhi; communique says-that the R.A.F. operations yesterday were directed chiefly against targets in the lower Mayu peninsula and in the Akyab area. Blenheims attacked two villages, a ( force of Mohawk fighters made a sweep over Akyab Island, and low-flying Hurricanes considerably damaged Japanese water transport. All our planes returned.—B.O.W.
