RUGBY, December 13

The Admiralty announces the loss of the Hunt class destroyer lan. Lieu- , tenant-Commander J. H. Wallace, who commanded the Penylan, was awarded the Distinguished Service'" Cross for gallantry in the Dieppe raid. The Hunt class, the first 20 of which, were laid down in 1939, and completed/in 1940. are small destroyers of 904 tons, mounting four *4in anti-aircraft and eight "smaller guns, and having a designed speed of 32.5 knots.—-8.0.W.
