THE GORE MEETING
The only racing fixture in the South Island is the Gore Club's Spring Meeting Although not large, the fields have filled sufficiently well to ensure interesting racing, and horses likely to be favoured are: —
12.30: Pukerau Highweight Handicap (Bif.).—Gnohiii, Forte, Colonel Rouge. 110: Spring Plate (6f.).—Piamste, Prince Leighon, Cross Question. 1.50: Balfour Trot dim.).—Sea Max, Victory Boy, Trevathan. 2.30: President's Handicap dim.).— Gold Flight, Fidelis, Doubleack. 3.10: Waimea Hack Handicap (6f.) — Coy, Carolyn, Gay Lancer. 3 50: Stewards' Handicap (61.).— Bashful Lady, Sing Sing. 4 30' Novice Handicap (61.). — Maiden's Money, Royal Brief, Golden Belle 5.10: Farewell Hack Handicap (7f.). —Marquee, Macedoine, Lord Midas.
