NEW ZEALAND SOLDIERS

Warm praise for New Zealand soldiers serving overseas was given last evening at the annual reunion of the Ist Contingent of the New Zealand Mounted Rifles (.South African War) by Colonel J. H. White, now serving in his third war. He said the boys bore the highest reputation, were most efficient in their job, and were carrying on the old traditions. There were no finer troops in the Western Desert, and if any important action came along ■theyiwere used as shock troops. One was also proud, he said, of the New Zealand nurses. They put their hearts into the work, and the men were cared for as brothers.
