DEBRIS FALLS ON TRAIN

TAUMARUNUI, This Day,

A slip came down on the passenger cars of the Wellington-Auckland express just south of Waimiha (20 miles north of Taumarunui) this morning, and the train was pulled up. No one was injured, and the passengers were transferred to another train at Waimiha. Traffic in both directions is delayed, but it is expected that the line will be cleared today. The extent of the damage will not be known until the debris has been removed.
