RAID ON TOBRUK
DARING BRITISH FEAT.
LANDING FROM SEA
LONDON, Sept. 14. An official announcement says that last night British light coastal forces, with a small Army force, carried out a seaborne raid on Tobruk. They were supported by an air attack on a considerable scale. A landing was made in the face of strong opposition, and casualties and damage were inflicted on the enemy before our j men withdrew. The withdrawal was not carried out without losses, which, in view of the strength of the defences, were to be expected. •
