CAMP FOR WAR WORKERS

A holiday camp at- Mairangi Bay was attended one weekend by 50 or 60 girl clerical ;workers engaged on war work. The camp is one of those which the physical welfare branch of the Department of Internal Affairs instituted lasr, summer for war workers. The secretary of'the Auckland Clerical V/orkers' Union, Mr. A. S. Herring, stated that his union had decided to subsidise the cost- of a camp for clerical workers on war work. - It is intended to hold similar camps throughcut the summer.
