FRANCE'S WAR PLANES
EVIDENCE AT RIOM TRIAL
LONDON, March 4. France in September, 1939, had only 510 planes, of which 442 were modern, declared M. La Chambre when giving evidence at the Riom trial. He alleged that French technicians would not admit the possibility of using planes against tanks, and accused specialists of not fully using 3500 planes which were available .at the end of May, 1940. He said that there were 2500 unused planes at the time lof the armistice.
