(Rec. 1 p.m.) RUGBY, March 4. An Admiralty communique states that a Junkers 88 which attempted to make an attack has been shot down by his Majesty's trawler Negro. The Junkers dived to attack with the moon behind it, and passed close over the ship It was received with a single burst of anti-aircraft fire, and immediately burst into flames and crashed into the sea. No casualties or damage were sustained by the Negro.—B.O.W.
