CHAMPIONSHIP FOURS

The championship fours' competition under the Wellington Bowling Centre's jurisdiction is to be held at the^ Wellington Bowling Club on Wednesday and Thursday. Twenty-one clubs have entered, and the draw provides for the following first round matches, starting at 8.30 a.m, on Wednesday:—Lyall Bay v. Paraparaumu Beach, Hataitai v. Woburn, Petone v. Wellington, Porirua v. Otaki Railway, Johnsonville v. Seatoun. Byes have been drawn by Upper Hutt, Newtown, Kelburn, Victoria, Karori, Island Bay, Hutt, Eastbourne, Khandallah, Thorndon, and Otaki. These fours will meet in the order indicated, Otaki meeting the winner of the Lyall Bay-Paraparaumu first-round game.
