AIR SUPERIORITY

SHOWN BY FIGURES

(Rec. 11 a.m.) RUGBY, Feb. 25. The completeness of R.A.F. superiority im the Rangoon area is shown by figures given in the course of the Rangoon communique. Since the first raid, the Japanese have lost 122 planes destroyed, 43 probably destroyed, and 42 damaged. R.A.F. losses have been 12 planes, and one has been damaged.

The communique adds that two enemy planes were shot down, and two others probably destroyed, in an air combat at 9.30 a.m. today, when 24 Japanese planes raided Rangoon. We suffered no losses.

The enemy also raided an aerodrome north of Rangoon four times. There was slight damage, but no casualties.
