AUCKLAND, This Day.

Risks of more cases of cerebro-spinal meningitis if the Auckland Hospital were to be reopened to visitors ■ in. the normal way were stressed by the chairman, Mr. Allan Moody, at a meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board. which agreed not to vary the present arrangement.

Mr, Moody said there had been just on 60 cases since the hospital was closed to visitors (except on Sundays). Two more cases- had occurred in the last few days, and Hie acting medical superintendent, Dr. Gilmour, said there must be over 1000 carriers in the city.'
