WOMEN MINISTERS?

METHODIST CHURCH

The question of appointing women to the ministry of the Methodist Church was raised at the Methodist Conference yesterday, and it was decided that a special commission should be set u£ to go into the matter. The commission is to make a full rpeort.

The report of the special Deaconess Investigation Committee which had met in Wellington during the year was presented and discussed fully. Out of the problems that confronted the committee the main ones were the type of training to be given the deaconesses and the assurance that employment would be forthcoming at the end of their training.
