ITALIAN MINISTER LEAVES

SAUDI ARABIA

RUGBY, February 19

The Saudi Arabian Government, in response to a request by his Majesty's Government, some time ago asked the Italian Government to withdraw its legation from Jedda. This had now been done, said the Foreign Undersecretary, Mr. R. K. Law, in reply to a question in the House of Commons, and the Italian Minister and his staff left on February 8 for Italy.

Mr. Law added that his Majesty's Government's request was agreed to in view of the cordial relations existing between Saudi Arabia and Britain.— 8.0. W.
