MAGNESIUM PRODUCTION
NEW YORK, February 19. The "Wall Street Journal" says that
the Ford and Union Carbide Companies
are to produce magnesium by using a sensational new process which is economical and safe. A formal announcement from Washington is expected next week.
Dolomite ore is dried and made into briquettes with ferro-silicon and then treated in a retort, similar to the pro-
cess in zinc refineries,
