COLLAPSE IN COURT

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 20. Dramatically interrupted by the collapse of the petitioner and his transfer to hospital, a defended divorce action in the Supreme Court today before Mr. Justice Callan and a jury was adjourned till Monday.. The case was that of Gordon William Fleming, fellmonger, Papatoetoe, versus Irene Mary Fleming and Reginald Johnston.

The petitioner was seeking divorce and £250 damages. He gave evidence that he was married in Masterton in 1937 and came1 to Auckland. He ceased to live with his wife last year. Later he and another man witnessed misconduct between respondent and co-re-spondent, which was dtnied. Petitioner had been about an hour under cross-examination when he collapsed and had to receive medical attention, the doctor reporting that he was unfit to return to the box today but would probably be fit to resume on Monday.
