A BIG INCREASE
PARCELS SENT OVERSEAS
The Postmaster-General .(Mr. Webb) in a statement today said that approximately 1,000,000 parcels were posted in New Zealand for places overseas in 1941, as against approximately 250,000 in 1940, arid 45,000 in 1939. The 1939 figure may be regarded as a normal year's posting. , Of the parcels sent .last ,year, approximately 750,000 were for the armed forces, 200,000 were for. civilians in the United Kingdom (gift y parcels), and 50,000 were ordinary, trade arid, civilian parcels.'' : '■ • ■ ;
