VICEREGAL. Government House, Wellington, February 9. Her Excellency Lady Newall inspected the first aid classes in progress ill the Town Hall this evening. February 10. At Government House this morning the Speakers of both Houses of Parliament, accompanied by members of the Legislature, presented to the GovernorGeneral the Addresses in Reply to the speeches delivered by his Excellency on the occasion of the opening of Parliament. Her Excellency visited the prisoners of war section of the New Zealand Red Cross Society, Dixon Street The members of the Court of Arbitration will leave for the South Island tonight. After sitting at Dunedin, Invercargill, Christchurch, and Greymouth, they will return to Wellington, in about a month's time. "I am sure that you will join with the directors in congratulating Mr. M. J. Kennedy upon his completion of 21 years' service as our general manager and secretary," said Dr. Knight, chairman of - the Wellington Gas Company, at the annual meeting, held today. The Rev. N. R. Wood, of the Colombo Street Baptist Church, Christchurch, has accepted a call to the Point Chevalier Church, Auckland. He is to begin his ministry this week. . "
