GERMAN AMBASSADOR
(Rec. 1 p.m.) BUENOS AIRES, February 9. The German Ambassador, yon Thermann, is travelling to Berlin in a Spanish steamer, the Monte Gorbea, on February 20. Argentina and Chile are the only - remaining American republics which have not severed relations with the Axis, but yon Thermann has been recalled to report to the German Govnrnment. __^_____ - _^^__ The Lower Hutt City Council last evening approved a proposal that the Eastbourne, Fetone, and Lower Hutt Councils should join, in pay ing- rates due to the Lower Hutt Qi^r Council , and .the^u^J^e? t ß^^L.. j. > . ,
