END OF SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

All public primary schools in Wellington commenced the first term of 1942 yesterday and will continue until Friday, May 8, when the autumn term holidays will begin. The second term will open on May 25 and will continue until the spring term holidays commencing on August 21. The third term will open on September 7 and will continue until December 18.

The colleges under the control of the Wellington Colleges Board of Governors resumed today, with the exception of Wellington Boys' College, which v/ill probably reopen on February 16. The Technical College day school reopened yesterday and night classes will resume on February 16. Scots, Wellesley, and Queen Margaret Colleges will reopen tomorrow, and Marsden School will reopen on Thursday.

Mr. A. Holland, a driver, understood to reside in Lower Hutt, suffered head injuries and concussion when he fell off the back of his lorry on the waterfront today. The Free Ambulance took him to hospital.
