AIRFIELD DEFENCE

BRITISH REORGANISATION

LONDON, January 7. The War Cabinet has decided on a complete reorganisation of airfield defence, ending the present unsatisfactory system of divided responsibility between the Army and the Air Force, says the "Evening Standard." A special corps will be formed, being the R.A.F. equivalent of the Royal Marines.

This decision is the outcome of long discussions between Service committees and members of Cabinet. The change follows the revelation of serious defects in the present airfield defences. ,
