OBITUARY
MESS ELLA NORTON.
On Christmas Day there passed peacefully away in Wellington an old arid highly esteemed resident, Miss Ella Norton, at the age of 85. She was the last of three sisters, all octogenarians, who for many years successfully conducted "Rawhiti," a boarding establishment on Golders Hill, and her memory, will be treasured by those who were, privileged to know her A splendid type of Victorian womanhood, of.a generation which is coming to a close, she was brimful of character. She worked and thought for others, and had a beautiful self-effacing nature. The very eloquent tribute paid to her memory by Canon Davies at the funeral service at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul's spoke volumes in regard to her charm and personality, and was most gratifying to those relatives and friends who were present. • • '
