NEWSBOYS' EFFORT

TO HELP R.S.A. APPEAL

1 A spontaneous gesture on the part of a group of "Everting Post" newsboys towards the R.S.A. \Premises appeal has led to a collective effort by nearly all "Evening Post" delivery boys to augment the appeal funds by selling a unique 1942 "Victory" calendar. On Monday next, the bdys will call on householders with a supply of the calendars which may be purchased at 2s 6d each, the proceeds being for the R.S.A. Premises appeal. The "Victory" calendar 15§ inches wide and 23 inches in depth (approximately 7 full columns of this paper) in size is printed in two colours on art paper and contains photographs of the Royal Family, Mr. Winston Churchill, arid the Commanders-in-chief of the,. Navy, Army, and Air Forces in the Middle East, as well as General Freyberg. :. , On it also are reproductions of the signatures of 187 members. of various units of New Zealand forces serving in the Middle East, and altogether it is a unique calendar which will re- j ceive pride of place in most homes and j offices. , J In order to enable them to complete their round without undue delay, it is suggested that householders should be ready for the boys when they call on Monday.—P.B.A.
