TRIP CANCELLED

RAILWAY CEREMONY

The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) and the Minister of Public Works (Mr. Armstrong) were to have flown from Wellington to Westport this morning to take part in the ceremony of driving the last spike in the construction of the Buller Gorge railway, but owing to bad weather between Wellington and the West Coast the trip was cancelled. Mr. Armstrong is to leave for Nelson tonight, and expects to be back in Wellington on Thursday or Friday.
