BATAVIA. November 19

Mr. A. G. Harper, of the Now Zealand Internal Affairs Department, who is travelling home from the Middle East, is at present conducting talks with the Education Department of Batavia. with the object of an exchange of Netherlands East Indies and Now Zealand students and also the establishment of chairs in the Dutch language and in English in the universities of both countries.

The feasibility of the plans is not yet certain, because the talks are only in the preliminary stage, but the Netherlands East Indies authorities are naturally interested in all possibilities of _ bringing about closer co-operation between the Netherlands East Indies nnd New Zealand.
