AIR CASUALTIES

The following air casualties were announced last evening:—

JALCONER, Arthur J., Pilot Officer, 8.N.Z.A.F., previously reported missing, death now officially presumed by Air Ministry to have occurred in February. Mr. W. M. Fal-

coner, 52 Victoria Avenue, Wanganui (f.). IECKIE, Thomas W. McC, Pilot Officer, K.N.Z.A.F., killed, aircraft accident. Mrs. F. M. Leckie, Alton Downs, P. 8., Blenheim (m.). MACKENZIE, Angus C, Pilot Officer, R.N.Z.A.F., previously reported in hospital suffering from exposure, has now returned to duty. Mr. J. G. MacKenzie, Botanical Gardens, Wellington (f.). ORCHARD, Russell E., Flight Lieutenant, R.A.F., previously reported missing, now reclassirled missing, but believed killed in action. Mr. H. M. Orchard, 28 Rayburn Avenue, Christchureh (f.).

The following Air Force casualties were announced today:—

FORD, Leslie Leonard, Sgt., R.N.Z.A.F., previously reported missing, now reclassifie'd prisoner of war. Mrs. L. L. Ford, 47 Nairn Street, Wellington (w.). COLE, William Dudley Linter, Sgt., R.N.Z.A.F., "missing on air operations. Mr. H. L. Cole, care N.Z. Institute of Engineers, 8-12 The Terrace, Wellington (f.). COLLETT. Ivan Henry, Pilot Officer, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations. Mr. E. A. Collett, 122 Whittaker Street, Gisborne (f.). WILLIAMS, Geoffrey Fraser, Sgt., R.N.Z.A.F.. missing on air operations. Mrs. J. Mackay, care Messrs. Burgess, Fraser, and Co., New Plymouth (m.). ROUGHTON, Henry Gervase, Sgt,, R.N.Z.A.F., killed in aircraft accident. Mr. 0. G. Roughton, Wakefleld, Nelson (f.). LAW, Donald Newsham, Sgt., R.N.Z.A.F., killed in aircraft accident. Mrs. A. J. Law, Bowen Street, Cambridge (m.).
