ORTHOPTIC TREATMENT
Orthoptic treatment for Air Force candidates who require eye muscle training to'fit them for acceptance for piloting duties will in future be given at the Wellington Hospital. In a report to the Hospital Board, the medical superintendent. Dr. J. Cairney, stated: "Lieutenant-Colonel F. R. Chisholm, A.D.M.S. (Air) has recently seen this type of training carried out in England, and was much impressed by its results. In New Zealand the only adequate facilities for carrying out such eye muscle training are at this hospital, arid it has been represented to me that from a national point of view it is most desirable that we should undertake this work."
