HOSPITALITY APPRECIATED
The wholehearted appreciation and thanks of the Royal Artillery men on English ships in Wellington for the courtesies extended to them while in port is contained in a letter received from Mr. W. McGhaddery by the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Committee. The way they were received and welcomed while in New Zealand made them reluctant to leave, says the letter, which asks that their appreciation be made known to the Y.M.C.A., A.N.A. Club, the management of St. James Theatre, officials of the Wellington Football Association, and llrs. Wise, Mayoress of Eastbourne, and her committee.
"Once again we thank New Zealand, with the hope that some day we may have the opportunity of reciprocating in some measure for the hospitality extended to us," the letter concludes. It is endorsed with the names of the men concerned.
