BACON FROM CANADA

BIG EXPORTS TO BRITAIN

LONDON, October 6,

Canada is to send 600,000,0001b of bacon to Britain in the next twelve months. This is in addition to the other pork products which she is supplying.

Supposing that 30,000,000 people in Britain like their morning rasher of bacon, this will give them each more than six ounces a week.

The new contract is largely the result of the eagerness with, which the Canadian people have adopted the "Eat less bacon and help Britain" slogan. Canada has now undertaken to send the whole of her bacon exports to Britain.

Prices will be controlled by agreement between the two countries.
