FRENCH PROPERTY

JAPANESE SEIZURES IN

SAIGON

LONDON, October 3

In French Indo-China Japanese troops have seized warehouses, office buildings, and stores near the Saigon docks. Practically every French firm in the neighbourhood is affected.

After some time the premises were surrendered in order to save the large stores which some of them held. It is believed that the Japanese will use the premises to store military equipment. They are also putting pressure on the French authorities to get access to the oil reserves of three foreign companies.
