AID. FOR THE ALLIES
AMERICAN RESOLUTION
NEW YORK, September 25.
The Municipal Workers' Union, which is affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organisations, adopted, by 183 votes to seven, a motion defining the destruction of Hitler as the No. 1 goal of Americans and calling for "a torrent of assistance" for Britain, Russia, and China.
The union rejected a proposed ban on sending a second American expeditionary force abroad.
The union's decision is regarded as an important indication of the attitude which can be expected at the forthcoming powerful national convention of the Congress of Industrial Organisations.
The State Department announced in Washington that more than 300 additions had been made to the trade blacklist throughouti Latin America and Central America, and also announced 65 deletions from the list. The additions include Air France, the Italian Lati Air Line, and the German Transocean News Agency.
