ELECTRICAL STORMS
(P.A.) PALMERSTON N., This Day.
Accompanied by hail and heavy rain, severe electrical storms lit up the city and countryside at 9.30 last" night. No serious damage is reported, but numerous interruptions occurred in the electricity service in the area between Linton, Kairanga, and Pohangina, transformer fuses being blown. In a house at Liniton the meter was blown from the switchboard.
