OTAKI RIVER
HORSE DRIVER'S NARROW
ESCAPE
(P.A.) OTAKI, This Day. Heavy rain has caused a flood in the Otaki River, where a stop-bank has been damaged. Water flowed across roads and inundated many acres of land. A horse and dray were washed down the river and the driver had difficulty in reaching the bank.
