ATTACKS ON AXIS SHIPPING
(Rec. 10 a.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 25. An Air Ministry communique reports: "The weather yesterday was very unfavourable for air operations, but aircraft on patrol continued their attacks on enemy shipping. "Off the coast of Norway a Hudson of the Coastal Command bombed a large enemy supply ship from a low level, and off Dunkirk Hurricanes of the Fighter Command* attacked enemy minesweepers with cannon and machine-gun fire."
A Home Security communique states: "Soon after dark a very small number of enemy aircraft crossed the southeast coast of England. One dropped bombs at a point near the coast.
"There were no casualties and only slight damage."—B.O.W.
