AMERICAN NAVY

RAPID PACE IN LAUNCHINGS

LONDON, September 25.

The United States navy is, this week, achieving a fast ship-building pace and six warships will be launched in five days.

On Tuesday, the battleship Massachusetts and a destroyer were launched, and four more destroyers will take the water on Saturday.

This' will bring the total for the month to' ten warships, the best month since the start of the programme for a two-ocean navy.
