LIMIT ON PROFITS
U.S. TREASURY PLANS
6 PER CENT. MAXIMUM
LONDON, September 25,
Mr. Henry Morgerithau, Jnr., U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, told a Press conference today that the profit motive must be eliminated from the national defence programme.
Announcing that Treasury experts had started drafting a Bill under which corporation profits would be limited to 6 per cent., he said. "The complacency of this country calls for something like this from me."
