CONCERT AT EASTBOURNE

Eastbourne's unaddressed soldiers' parcels fund benefited recently when £21 was handed to the Mayoress, Mrs. Wise, as a result of an evening's entertainment, by the Eastbourne branch of the New Zealand Union of Townswomen's Guilds (Inc.). A dramatic one-act play was presented by the drama circle, those taking part being Mesdames Reid, Berry, Hodgson, Beveridge Spackman, Press, Bradburn, and Robinson (producer). A revue, "We Can't Win the War Without a Uniform," a burlesque on the activities of the Women's War . Service Auxiliary written by Mrs. S, Robinson and set to music by Mrs. A. Hanton, kept the crowded audience amused. The cast of 30 comprised members of the guild.
