N.Z.R.S.A. PRESIDENT
UNANIMOUSLY RE-ELECTED
The Hon. W. Perry. M.L.C.. was unanimously re-elected president of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association by the annual conference of
the association yesterday afternoon, after warm tributes had been paid to his qualities as a leader and worker. Mr, B. J, Jacobs (Palmerston North) was re-elected vice-president.
Other officers elected were:—District vice-presidents, Messrs. J. W, Kendall iAuckland), W, H. Carman (Welling-ton-Nelson-Marlborough). D. W Russell (Canterbury-West Coast), and J. M White (Otago-Southland); Dominion honorary treasurer, Mr, J. D, Harper; Dominion executive committee. Messrs. A. T. Duncan, A. Cowles. H McCormick, H. B, Burdekin, W E. Leadley E C. Hale (Otago-Southland), G. A. Hnyden (Canterbury-Westland). C O. Bel) (Wellington-Nelson-Marlborough) and C W Batten (Auckland); representative on N.Z.E.F Canteen and Regimental Funds Trust Board. Colonel M Aldred; representative on War Pen sions Board, Mr J. D Harper; representatives on Soldiers' Civil Re-estab-lishment League fine.)', Messrs J. I Goldsmith. C. W Batten and G A Hayden; representatives on the Great War Funds Administrative Committee of the Joint Council of thf- Order of St John and New Zealand Red Cross Society. Messrs E C. Hah *nd H B Burdekin: representative or Dominion! executive. New Zealand Farmers' Union. Mr W Horrobin CONFIDENCE IN MR PERRY. On Thursday night the conference unanimously carried a resolution ex pressing confidence m Mr Perry The resolution, moved b\ Mr N Colquhoun stated:—"That thi? Dominion coun cil of associated ielegate:- of the N.Z.R.S.A affirms Us confidence in the Dominion president, the Hon W Perry. MIC. whn ha> filleo this office with credit to himself and to the entire satisfaction ol the N.Z.R.SA The delestate? desire to place on record their keen sense of appreciation of the services he has jiven to the NZ.R.S.A. and to the returned soldiers of New Zealand as a whole."
The resolution was carried with musical honours and Mr. Perry in reply said thathhri r work for the R.S.A was always a pleasure to him, but he war -lelighted to hear, that he had Ihe fu'i confidence of members
