British forces in Irak have captured 93 Iraki rebels during an engagement east of Falluja. The Cairo communique which gives this news says that another British force is advancing from Basra up the Euphrates.
North-west of Habbania, British forces are relentlessly pounding rebel troops, who are said to number 2000.
The Regent of Irak, who has returned to his country, has received numerous messages of loyalty and support since his return a few days ago, and Mr. Eden said in his speech today that many of Rashid Ali's followers had already fled. (Rec. 1 p.m.) RUGBY, May 29. British Imperial forces in Irak are advancing towards Bagdad from FalInja, hut it is not known how fast or how far they have got.
