ST. AUGUSTINE'S, PETONE
In his report to the annual meeting of tin parishioners of St. Augustine's, Petone, tli< Rev. H. S. Kenney stated that the attend ance at the services had maintained a consistent level and on several special occasions there had been memorable services with over' flowing congregations. There had been a de. cided increase in the number of communicant! and the total number of acts of communior made was 6002. His assistant curate, the Rev. R. M. Gourdie, who had done excellent work, would shortly be going into camp.
Testimony was paid to the work of Mr, X. H. Rowse, people's warden, who was nol seeking re-election owing to military duties. The vicar appointed Mr. C. W. Johnson as his warden, and Mr. \V. P. Watkinson was elected as people's warden. The following officers were elected: —Vestry, Messrs. T. C. Clarke, W. Daly, A. Dryden, T. Hughes, I. Xicholson, H. B. Martin, R. Parkin, E. E. Pawson, P. J. Sherwood, and W. Warringtoni auditors, Messrs. J. Croft, R. Nelson, and N\ J. Sherwood; trust board, Messrs. R. Nelson, W. Yates, H. Lucas Hunt; envelope secretary, Mr. w. C. Jowett.
