JOHNSONVILLE SALEYARDS

After many years of agitation the Johnsonville saleyards are likely to be moved from the centre of the town ship. A conference of Interested parties was called by the Health Depart ment, and Commissioner F. C. Jacobs, the Johnsonville Town Board's representative, reported on the outcome of the discussions to last night's meeting of the Town Board. It had been de cided to recommend that the saleyards be moved to a site on the railway line on the outskirts of the town area.

The Railway and Health Depart ments, Town' Board, retail and master butchers, farmers, State tenants, and stock and station agents were all represented at the conference, said Mr. Jacobs. He thought there was a unanimous desire to have the saleyards moved. He had refuted suggestions in handbills distributed in Johnsonville alleging that the Town Board opposed the removal of the yards.
