MRS. ROOSEVELT TACKLED

(Rec. 10 a.m.) LOS ANGELES, April 29.

Mrs. Roosevelt, wife of the President, was given a protective escort of secret service men when, she lectured at the Philharmonic Auditorium, last evening after an anonymous letter had been received that the lecture would be picketed for peace. There was no disturbance.

Asked, "Do you think the President will keep his promise and keep us out of the war?" Mrs. Roosevelt replied^
