HELP TO CONTINUE
SOVIET ASSURANCE TO
CHINA
LONDON, April 18,
Reuter quotes authoritative quarters in Chungking today as saying that the Soviet Union has given China an assurance of continued assistance. The assurance was given to the Chinese Ambassador in Moscow by M. Molotov, who is reported to have told him that Soviet policy towards China was unchanged by the neutrality pact with Japan. The Chinese Ambassador's report of his interview with M. Molotov has already reached the Chinese leaders in Chungking.
