JAPANESE POLICY

LONDON, April 18,

In Tokio today the deputy spokesman said that there would be no abrupt changes in Japan's foreign policy, even when Mr. Matsuoka returned from his visit to Europe. He said that although there may be some minor modifications the main policy would aim as before at maintaining and increasing peaceful relations with neighbouring nations.
