ADELAIDE, This Day,

The Minister of Supply, Senator McBride, announced that unless private motor-vehicle users made a voluntary reduction within the next two months in their petrol supplies the Commonwealth would make further cuts in the present scale of petrol allowances. Increasing mechanisation of the forces and deterioration of the situation overseas made it more than ever necessary that stocks ; should be conserved.
