GERMAN FORCES

(British Official Wireless.) (Received April 19, 11 a.m.)

RUGBY, April 18,

Reports received from Libya by military circles here indicate that the German drive at this moment is halted. This must x be regarded as temporary until further developments show whether it will or can bo renewed.

On the basis of 'the activities of the last forty-eight hours, it would be fair to say that the Germans are engaged in defensive actions in the Tobruk and Sollum area.
