RECENT MARRIAGES

ARNOLD—DENNISTOUN-WOOD

The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Mary's Church, Karori. of Barbara, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Dennistoun-Wood, Wellington, and Eric Macdonald, of the Second N.Z.E.F., and elder son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Arnold, Karori. The cere mony was performed by the Rev. F. M. Kempthorne, and Mr. R. C. Hayes was organist. The bride, who was escorted by her lather, wore a gown of magnolia satin. Her lovely tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom and she carried an armlet of pink and cream rosebuds. The bridesmaids, Misses Mollie Arnold and Melva Levestam, were dressed in dainty frocks of pale green, satin-striped marquisette. Their green tulle veils were worn with top-knots of cyclamen pom-pom dahlias, and they carried matching bouquets. The best man \\ as Mr. P. C. R. Wells and the groomsman Dr. Lan Fletcher. The reception was held at the Kel- ! burn Kiosk, where the guests were received by the bride's mother, who was assisted by the bridegroom's' ! mother. For travelling the bride wore a model frock of hyacinth blue, under a coat of smart check design in blue and cyclamen and her hat was of matching blue.
