The Prime Minister iMr. Fraser) returned to Wellington today from Auckland. Judge H. F. Ayson, Resident Commissioner of the Cook Islands, is visiting Auckland. He is accompanied by Mrs. Ayson. Mr. W. J. Garnett. M.8.E., has arrived in New Zealand on appointment as official secretary in the office of the High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, in succession to Mr. G. E. Boyd Shannon, who is shortly returning to the Dominions Office. Mr. Garnett will also represent the Chiljdren's Overseas Reception Board, in 'succession to Mr. Cyril Bavin, 0.8.E.. | who is being transferred to similar (duties in Australia. Mr. Garnett is accompanied by Mrs. Garnett.
Mr. M. J. Reardon, Conciliation Commissioner, left Wellington today for New Plymouth and Auckland.
